Telangana Rain Alert: IMD Issues Heavy Rainfall Warning for 29 Districts

Telangana Rain Alert: On the 27th June 2025, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given an orange alert about heavy to very heavy rain likely to occur over 29 districts玩的 districts of Telangana state Channel surfaces. There will also be widespread anticipated rain (2-hour total) over the next 48 hours, with the IMD cautioning that there will be thunderstorms with gusty winds also (30-40 kmph). The public is advised to be cautious and vigilant to contain the impact of flooding and or disruption to travel.

Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri


Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem

Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial


Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jayashankar Bhupalpally

Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

Flood Risk: Low-lying areas near Godavari and Krishna river basins may experience waterlogging

Transport Disruptions: Flight and train schedules at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport likely to be disrupted

Agriculture Advisory: People should stop harvesting and cover grains in storage

Urban Flooding: Hyderabad’s IT industry and other low-lying areas are likely to experience clogging in drainage

Do not travel during peak rainfall time (most likely afternoon/evening)
