This Common Toilet Habit Could Lead to Severe Health Issues

Common Toilet Habit: Many people have a habit of spending extra time in the toilet. It may feel relaxing but this habit can lead to serious health problems. Hemorrhoids (piles), constipation and other colorectal issues may develop over time. By following proper toilet habits we can prevent these risks.


Common Toilet Habit

Sitting for too long or putting too much pressure while passing stool can cause the veins near the anus to swell. This leads to piles. In severe cases, part of the rectum may even come out. The pressure affects blood flow and weakens the pelvic muscles. This may result in losing control over bowel and urine movements.

Risk of Infections


Toilet seats and surfaces contain many germs. Spending more time increases the chance of contact. If phones or other objects are used inside the toilet then germs can spread to hands and face. There is also a risk of urinary tract infections. Leaving the toilet quickly after use reduces these chances.

How to Prevent Constipation

Drink Enough Water

Drinking at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily keeps stool soft. It helps in easy bowel movements.

Add More Fiber

Fruits, vegetables, whole grains like oats, wheat, barley and lentils are rich in fiber. Fiber increases stool size and supports smooth movement through the intestines.

Exercise Daily

Physical activity boosts digestion. A 30 minute walk or light workout every day improves bowel function.

Don’t Ignore the Urge

When you feel the need to pass stool, go immediately. Delaying can cause stool to become hard.It leads to constipation.

Eat Probiotics

By eating yogurt and fermented foods,gut health can be improved.They increase good bacteria in the digestive system.

Reduce Stress

Stress slows down digestion. Practicing yoga or meditation can help to reduce mental pressure.It also improves bowel habits.

Sit in the Right Position

Place a small stool under your feet while using the toilet. It helps align the body better for easier bowel movements.

Adjust Your Diet Slowly

If you increase fiber suddenly, it may cause gas and bloating. Make changes step by step for better results.
