Richest People in Telangana: Telangana, known for its booming IT and pharma sectors, is also home to some of India’s wealthiest industrialists. As per the Hurun India Rich List 2024, the state’s richest individuals have amassed massive fortunes through pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, and real estate.
Topping the list is Murali Divi, founder of Divi’s Laboratories, with a net worth of ₹76,100 crore. His company is one of the world’s largest producers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
In second place is Pitchi Reddy (₹54,800 crore), chairman of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL).
Followed by Krishna Reddy (₹52,700 crore), also a co-founder of MEIL. Together, they’ve turned MEIL into a powerhouse in engineering and infrastructure, handling large-scale national and international projects.
Pharma continues to dominate the list with B. Parthasaradhi Reddy of Hetero Labs (₹39,200 crore), P.V. Ramprasad Reddy of Aurobindo Pharma (₹35,100 crore), and K. Satish Reddy of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (₹29,900 crore) all securing top spots.
Infrastructure and real estate are also strong contenders. G.M. Rao, founder of GMR Group, holds a fortune of ₹36,300 crore, while Subramanyam Reddy and Venkateswar Reddy of Aparna Constructions have amassed ₹22,100 crore and ₹21,900 crore respectively.
The list is rounded off by Satyanarayana Reddy, founder of MSN Laboratories, with ₹18,500 crore.
These billionaires not only represent immense personal success but also highlight Telangana’s growing influence in India’s economic landscape. Their enterprises have created thousands of jobs, boosted exports, and played a pivotal role in putting Hyderabad and Telangana on the global business map.
