Relief from Painful Periods:
Periods are a natural process in every woman’s body. Having regular periods is a sign of good health. However, for many women, it brings a lot of pain, mood swings, and discomfort. Especially during the first two or three days, cramps and back pain can make it hard to do regular work. Many women depend on painkillers to get relief, but frequent use of medicines can harm the body. Instead, some simple home remedies can naturally reduce period pain and help you stay active.
Doing light yoga can relax your body and reduce cramps. The pose called Matsyasana or Fish Pose is very helpful. It improves blood flow in the lower body and helps regulate the menstrual cycle. Avoid heavy or high-intensity exercises during this time.
Boil one glass of water with a teaspoon of fennel seeds and a pinch of ajwain (carom seeds). Strain and drink it warm throughout the day. This drink helps reduce bloating, gas, and cramps effectively.
Take a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds with a pinch of salt and water. Fenugreek has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help ease menstrual cramps and muscle pain.
Applying a hot pack on your lower abdomen helps relax tense muscles and provides quick pain relief. It also calms the nerves and reduces discomfort.
Eating boiled or lightly fried sweet potatoes with herbs helps control mood swings and reduces cramps. Avocados are also a good option as they contain healthy fats and nutrients.
By following these easy remedies, women can manage painful periods naturally and continue their daily routine without stress.
