Lipstick Last Longer:
Many people find it hard to keep lipstick on for long hours. Lipstick often fades when you drink tea or coffee. It may smudge during work or social events. No one likes cracked or uneven lips. With simple steps, you can make your lipstick stay bright and fresh.
Exfoliate Your Lips
Dry lips make lipstick fade quickly. Always scrub your lips once or twice a week. You can use a gentle lip scrub. Another option is sugar mixed with honey. A soft toothbrush can also remove dead skin. Smooth lips give a clean base for lipsticks.
Moisturise Before Lipstick
Hydrated lips help lipsticks stay longer. Apply a lip balm or petroleum jelly. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes. Wipe off extra balm with a tissue. This prevents slipperiness.
Use a Base Coat
A lip primer works best for lasting colour. If you do not have one, use a little concealer or foundation. This creates an even base. Lipstick sticks better on this layer.
Apply Lip Liner
Choose a liner close to your lipsticks shade. First, outline your lips. Then fill in the inside area with the liner. This gives lipstick a strong base and prevents smudging.
Apply in Layers
Do not apply lipsticks in one heavy coat. Put on a thin first layer. Blot with a tissue. Then apply a second layer. This locks in the colour and adds depth.
Set with Powder
Place a tissue on your lips. Dust translucent powder on top with a brush. This step seals the colour.
Pick the Right Formula
Matte lipsticks last longer. Liquid lipsticks also stay well but may feel dry. Creamy types look soft but need reapplication.
Avoid Oily Foods
Oil breaks down lipstick pigments. Avoid greasy foods when possible. If you eat, touch up quickly.
Spray a makeup setting spray at the end. Carry your lipsticks and liner for quick fixes. Lipsticks that lasts needs preparation and layering. Exfoliate, moisturise, use liner, and set with powder. With these tips, your lipsticks can look perfect all day.
