Blood Pressure: If BP increases, many problems can arise. The heart rate increases. There is also a possibility of heart problems due to increased pressure on the heart. This can be fatal. Therefore, it is good to control blood pressure from time to time.


Generally, blood pressure increases due to excessive salt intake and stress. And some precautions should be taken to reduce this problem. It has been found that BP can be controlled due to these:

 


Exercise

Aerobic exercises should be done. These include brisk walking and cycling. Walking is very good. This can help to get rid of many problems. Working out for at least 30 minutes a day a few days a week can lower blood pressure.

Balanced Diet

Many problems can be avoided with a good diet. Therefore, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein should be consumed. Seasonal fruits should be consumed. Similarly, salt intake should be reduced. Saturated fats, sweet drinks such as soda, and fruit juices should be reduced. Especially, consuming salt in small quantities keeps sugar levels under control.

Potassium

Similarly, eat more foods rich in potassium. Eating more bananas, sweet potatoes, spinach, and tomatoes can help control blood pressure.

Weight Balance

Whether the weight is too high or too low, it is not good. Therefore, it should be maintained properly. The ideal weight should be within the range of our height and age. Whether the weight increases or decreases, there is a problem. Therefore, it is important to maintain the right weight. For this, along with good nutrition, workout also plays a key role.

Stress

Try to reduce stress. Take deep breaths. Meditation and yoga help reduce stress levels. Regular practice can reduce stress to a great extent. An added benefit is that you will sleep better. Regular meditation not only relaxes the blood vessels but also controls the rapid heartbeat.

Sleep

Lack of sleep increases the chances of developing hypertension. Therefore, good sleep is very important. You need 7 to 9 hours of sleep a day. If you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, sleep in a good, quiet place, and take short naps throughout the day, you will get a good night’s sleep.
