A doctor in Hyderabad has given a warning about a dangerous ingredient that you cannot readily see on the labels of packaged food. The ingredient, called Industrial Starch, can be more detrimental to an individual than both maida and sugar combined. Most people are exposed to this product without even knowing it.
Industrial Starch is a chemically processed imitation carbohydrate. Industrial Starch is produced using methods that include heat and chemicals. This is an empty nutrient that is injected into a large number of foods and is used by many food companies to create a bulk-like effect as well as to thicken foods. Industrial Starch does not come from a natural food source like potatoes.
The way your body processes Industrial Starch is that it allows your body to break down the starch very quickly and elevate your blood sugar level at a much higher rate than with regular table sugar. The elevation is much sharper than that associated with sugar and hence adds to the development of type two diabetes, leads to inflammation in the body and contributes to the deposition of excess abdominal fat. In addition, it may contribute to the development of fatty liver disease.
When you are shopping, it is very important to read the food packaging carefully. Look for the word “corn starch.” If you see the term “maltodextrin,” then you have also found a form of Industrial Starch. Because it is commonly used in many packaged foods that are marketed as healthy food. Additionally, many packaged foods have “modified food starch” in them, and there are plenty of packaged foods that have one of these industrial starches in them.
Stay Away From Industrial Starch! Use Whole Natural Foods Whenever Possible! Check Labels of All Packaged Foods Carefully! Keep Yourself Safe from This Hidden Health Hazard. Your long-term health depends on these choices.
