Netflix India is set to release Aap Jaisa Koi, a soulful romantic drama starring R Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, on July 11, 2025. Directed by Vivek Soni and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the film explores the longing for real human connection in a digital, fast-paced world.


Romance Meets Realism

Madhavan plays Shrirenu, a quiet Sanskrit teacher with a guarded heart, while Fatima plays Madhu, a passionate French teacher on a journey of emotional rediscovery. The film’s narrative unfolds in a small-town school, focusing on how two very different people form an unlikely bond.

A Look at Their Latest Work

R Madhavan, who was last seen in the political drama Amriki Pandit. Will next appear soon in The Untold Calling, a psychological thriller, and Zero Line, a bilingual war drama slated for early 2026. Fatima Sana Shaikh, fresh off her acclaimed role as Indira Gandhi in Sam Bahadur. She is currently filming Ul Jalool Ishq, a quirky romantic comedy. And has also signed on for Quantum Her, a sci-fi series set to stream in late 2025.

Director Vivek Soni, known for Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021), returns to Netflix with a more mature take on love and loneliness. His storytelling blends urban sensibility with deep emotional insight.
