Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s action drama film Devara : Part One released  worldwide on the 27th of September to mostly positive reviews from critics and audience. For the Jr. NTR fans who missed the film’s theatrical experience now can view the film on this Ott platform on this day.

After two month of it’s blockbuster theatrical release the film is now all set for its OTT debut on giant Ott platform Netflix. According to the typical standard 8-week OTT release which has become the norm for big league pan Indian films, Devara is set for streaming on Netflix from the 22nd of November.

The action drama starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr in a dual role as Devara and Varadha Vara, Saif Ali Khan , Janhvi Kapoor ,Shruti Marathe ,Zarina Wahab , Talluri Rameswari , Prakash Raj , Srikanth ,Shine Tom Chacko , Narain , Kalaiyarasan , Murali Sharma , and Ajay in the supporting roles. It is set in the 1980s and 1990s and follows chief Devara’s son, Varadha ”Vara” who secretly continues his father’s mission to fight smuggling.

The film is bankrolled by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under by Yuvasudha Arts and N. T. R. Arts with an estimated budget of Rs 300 crores and in just 14 days the action entertainer grossed ₹408 crore worldwide, with ₹208 crore from its home territory of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film reportedly earned distributor share of ₹233.97 crore, earning a profit of ₹49.97 crore in two weeks. The film was released to high expectations but underperformed , it was initially expected to earn more than Rs 500 crores but failed to achieve the target.

Devara : Part 1 digital distribution rights of the film were acquired by Netflix for whooping Rs 155 crore (US$19 million) , and is set to debut on Netflix on November 22, 2024. The action drama movie will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
