Farzi 2 Release Date: After the excitement of its inaugural season in 2023, Farzi will come back with a bang in Season 2. Multi-award-winning directors Raj & DK have directed the show, which was streaming on Prime Video, and left everyone agog in the first year with its heart-pumping action and spine-chilling plot. With the creators now setting up for an action-packed sequel, the shoot begins in December 2025 and will be available in stores in mid-2026.
Even before getting completely involved in Farzi 2, Raj & DK are already busy with their mega-series, Rakht Bramhand. Sources tell us that though talks for the sequel of Farzi have already started, the director duo will focus on pre-production of Farzi 2 only after completing Rakht Bramhand. When they do, the filming for Farzi will at last get going in December, the second half of the thriller saga.
Farzi Season 1 finale set the stage for an edge-of-your-seat showdown. The fans had to wait in anticipation of the face-off between Michael (Vijay Sethupathi), the determined cop on his tail, and Sunny (Shahid Kapoor), the seasoned fox cheat con man. And of course, then there’s the sly bad guy Mansoor Dalal (Kay Kay Menon), who is the showstopper of the plot and makes Season 2 a suspenseful, surprise-filled ride.
Sources say that Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon will all be pitted against each other in the new season, with cliffhanging drama, lies, and action-packed scenes on offer.
Farzi was a turning point for Shahid Kapoor as it was his first venture into a long-form web series. His performance as a morally ambiguous counterfeiter was well-received, and his on-screen rapport with Vijay Sethupathi was a highlight of the show.

Before Shahid begins working on Farzi 2, he will be shooting Cocktail 2, the sequel to the original 2012, and has two scripts in hand for his next films, according to reports. With the shoot already underway for Farzi 2, the fans can now look forward to an even more suspenseful and gripping sequel, beating the cat-and-mouse game.
With even more at stake, electric face-offs, and a nowhere plot, Farzi Season 2 will be even more dramatic, suspenseful, and action-packed than ever before. With filming to begin later this year, the anticipation just keeps building, as fans eagerly await the next chapter of Sunny’s life as a cheater.
