Mad Square On OTT: Mad Square Treads OTT Path After a Successful Theatre Run. Having conquered theatres’ audiences, Mad Square, the follow-up of the 2023 blockbuster MAD, is set to kick-start its digital rollout. Hitting screens on March 28, the comedy drama garnered negative word of mouth but was still entertaining with its offbeat sense of humor, its young cast, and the snappy script. Now, audience members who had not watched the film on cinema screens can expect to welcome it onto OTT platforms.

Expected OTT Release Date and Streaming Partner

Though the official confirmation is yet to come. Mad Square is anticipated to arrive on Netflix, the streaming service of its prequel MAD. It is rumored by industry insiders that the film may release on OTT as early as April 25 or April 28, becoming one of the biggest comedy releases this month.

Plot: Chaos, Comedy, and a Jailhouse Twist

Four years after the occurrence of MAD, Mad Square shows Ganesh, also known as “Laddu,” imprisoned. When six students come to meet him and find out what led him to jail. Laddu shares a series of completely unpredictable things that happened. A Goa tour, heartbreak, a lost necklace, and a gangster named Maxx. The film takes a twist when one of the boys is discovered to be an undercover IPS officer who successfully busts Maxx. But not before he forgets to bail out Laddu, leaving the movie in a humorous cliffhanger.

Cast and Audience Reception

The movie boasts a talented ensemble cast of Ram Nitin, Narne Nithiin, and Sangeeth Shobhan. And Vishnu Oi, and Priyanka Jawalkar in prominent roles, supported by fine supporting acts by actors Sunil, Subhalekha Sudhakar, and Satyam Rajesh. While getting mixed reviews from the critics, Mad Square excelled in light-hearted comedy, youthful appeal, and good script.
