Pushpa 2’s OTT Release Sparks Outrage: Why Fans Are Furious. South superstar and national award winner Allu Arjun’s film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ made its grand theatrical debut on 5th December 2024. The film not only proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. But also broke many records in Indian cinema. Nearly two months after its release, fans are eagerly waiting for the OTT release of Pushpa 2. Recently, Netflix shared a post related to the OTT release of the film. In this post, it was told that Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ is being released with a reloaded version i.e. 23 minutes of extra footage. However, after seeing this post, fans are furious.
A post has been shared by Netflix India. sharing the poster of Pushpa 2: The Rule and they captioned the post, ‘Watch Pushpa 2- Reloaded Version on Netflix with 23 minutes of extra footage, coming soon in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada!’ As soon as this post came out, the fans started demanding that the film should also be released in Hindi language.
On 17th January 2025, Pushpa 2: The Rule was released in theatres with a reloaded version. The makers have added some extra footage to the duration of the film. After this, the duration of Pushpa 2 has increased from 3 hours and 20 minutes to 3 hours and 44 minutes. With this post, the makers are yet to reveal the OTT release date, but fans are expecting Pushpa 2: The Rule will be available by 30th January 2025.
On the other hand, fans were furious for not releasing Pushpa 2 in the Hindi language. One user wrote, ‘Why are you not releasing it in Hindi?’ Another user wrote, ‘Hindi audience is being discriminated against.’. Another user wrote, ‘If you have any problem with Hindi, then tell me’. It is worth noting that Pushpa 2 has earned more than Rs 1800 crore worldwide. This film has become the highest-grossing film in the industry.
