Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders OTT: The Bansal Murders, a brand-new sequel to Raat Akeli Hai, will be available on Netflix this winter for an additional dose of eerie excitement. The sequel, which was written by Smita Singh and directed by Honey Trehan, goes back to the eerie realm of crime and secret truths. Inspector Jatil Yadav, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, returns to investigate another compelling murder case that is reportedly one of his darkest and most complicated cases to date. The Bansal Murders takes place in Kanpur and centers on the famous Bansal family, who are brutally slain in their own home.

Similar to the 2020 film, the sequel will appear directly on Netflix on December 19, 2025, without a theatrical run. For those who don’t know, Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders made its international premiere on November 27 at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

The follow-up is expected to be both emotional and darker. Inspector Jatil Yadav will be seen looking into the Bansals’ horrible mass murder case inside their Kanpur mansion. It is anticipated that the story will reveal political influence, power struggles, betrayals, and secret agendas among the deceased family members.

Working on the sequel, according to Nawazuddin, is like going back to a part of himself that never went away. The Hollywood Reporter India claims that the Bansal Murders brought him to moral and emotional depths he had never experienced before.
