Sister Midnight: After its digital premiere in the UK, Sister Midnight, starring Radhika Apte, is set to debut online for Indian OTT audiences. Radhika Apte takes on what many call her “boldest role yet,” alongside Ashok Pathak, Chhaya Kadam, and Smita Tambe. Director Karan Kandhari earned a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding British Debut for the dark comedy. The film also received critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Camera and featured in the Directors’ Fortnight section.

Sister Midnight OTT Release:
In the UK, Sister Midnight is now available for VOD (Video-on-Demand) streaming on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Google Play, according to a formal announcement made by distributor Altitude Films. Altitude Films shared a review by American film reviewer Mark Kermode, stating that the film is “Very sharp.” Very amusing. Quite unexpected. “You can now purchase or rent the digital version of BAFTA-nominated Sister Night!” they stated on their Instagram page.

The makers of Sister Midnight released the film in limited theatres on May 30, but Indian viewers still can’t access it on any OTT platforms. However, media reports suggest that Radhika Apte’s film will soon stream online in India, most likely on Amazon Prime Video. The team has yet to issue an official confirmation for Indian audiences.

Sister Midnight Plot:
Radhika Apte directed the film. She centered the story on Uma, a young bride stuck in an unpleasant arranged marriage in Mumbai. As Uma’s loneliness grows, her animalistic impulses intensify. The narrative spirals into a bizarre, chaotic, and often humorous descent into madness. Set in Mumbai, the film follows Uma’s journey. She navigates societal expectations and boredom across familiar locations like Bandstand, Marine Drive, and the local trains.
