Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Thandel’ is a fictional story based on real-life incidents. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the movie ‘Tandel’ was released in theaters on February 7. Now, exactly after a month, this movie is set for streaming on OTT. Recently, we have seen flop movies being released in three weeks and hit movies in four to six weeks on digital platforms. Now it is noteworthy that Naga Chaitanya’s movie is also being made available on OTT in four weeks.
Some fishermen from D. Matsyalesham village in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh went fishing in the sea and were mistakenly caught by the Pakistan Coast Guard. After serving two years in prison, they were released with the initiative of the central and state governments. The movie ‘Tandel’ was made based on this incident.
In the movie, Naga Chaitanya as the king of Thandel and Sai Pallavi as the mother of Bujjithalli gave excellent performances.. They lived their roles. Prakash Belavadi, Aadukalam Naren, Divya Pillai, Karunakaran, Bablu Prithviraj, Mahesh Achanta, Mime Gopi, Kalpa Latha played key roles.
The songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad played an important role in the success of the film. Bunny Vasu produced this film without compromising anywhere under the Geetha Arts banner under the presentation of Allu Aravind. While Shyam Dutt handled the cinematography, Naveen Nooli did the editing work. Nagendra Thangala acted as the art director.
