The Buckingham Murders stars producer herself Kareena Kapoor Khan as a grieving British-Indian detective who is assigned the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire. The crime thriller film had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival on 14 October 2023. It was theatrically released on 13 September 2024 to mostly reviews are positive from film’s critics and audiences, with an average rating of 6.7/10.

Hansal Mehta’s directorial has officially debuted on giant Ott platform Netflix on November 8, 2024. A user on X (formerly Twitter) criticised the bad Hindi dubbing, prompting director Hansal Mehta to respond with an apology and a promise that the original language version will be available on the platform soon.

It follows Jasmeet Bhamra, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor Khan, a British-Indian detective who has recently lost her child. She is assigned the case of a murdered 10-year-old child in Buckinghamshire. The film’s ensemble cast inlcudes Kareena Kapoor Khan as Jasmeet “Jazz” Bhamra in the lead roles, Keith Allen ,Ranveer Brar, Prabhleen Sandhu ,Sarah-Jane Dias, Sanjeev Mehra ,Ash Tandon ,Kapil Redekar ,Jonathan Nyati and Darren Kemp in the supporting roles.
