The second season will be darker and grittier, and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar stated that Nevermore Academy’s gothic universe will finally be explored in depth. The talented Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams will, this season, have new villains to fight against, complex personal relationships to unravel, and new supernatural crimes to solve.
The producers also announced that they will be darker and horror-themed in tone and explore more of Wednesday’s life in the world of gothic and horror. More of the background of the Addams Family will be seen by the fans, and new cast members arrive, and more detailed background stories are narrated for the veteran cast.
Jenna Ortega returns as spunky Wednesday Addams and producer for season two. Other series regulars are Emma Myers (Enid), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler).
Other style-forward newcomers are Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, and Joanna Lumley as Grandmama. Lady Gaga also appears in a cameo, bringing additional star power this season.
Season 2 will also feature dark humor, gothic humor, and supernatural thriller. The teaser trailer already gave us a glimpse of what’s coming for the audience, with revenge dolls, supernatural creatures, and pyromaniac battle scenes. With Wednesday’s quick wit and bravery, stakes have never been higher.

The wait for the fans of the hit Netflix series Wednesday for the enigmatic daughter of the Addams Family is finally over. Since the release of Season 1 in November 2022 received so much affection and box office audience, Netflix officially renewed the series in January 2023. The wait is finally over now, and Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two installments: Part 1 on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 on September 3, 2025.
