1. $68 billion Investments in India:
Japan will invest 10 trillion yen ($68 billion) to increase bilateral business with India over the next ten years, according to a report by the Japanese media outlet Nikkei Asia.
2. Economic Development:
According to the foreign ministry, Quad, a strategic alliance established to offset China’s expanding influence and give Indo-Pacific countries a financing and economic development alternative, will be an “important platform” on the agenda.
3. India – Japan Defense Collaboration:
With the Indian Navy and Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force investigating a potential partnership in ship maintenance in India, PM Modi is also looking to strengthen India and Japan’s defense collaboration.
4. E10 Shinkansen bullet trains:
Additionally, PM Modi will tour the Electron Factory in Tokyo and the Tohoku Shinkansen factory in Sendai, which manufactures bullet train carriages. It is anticipated that PM Modi and his companion, Mr. Ishiba, would discuss Tokyo’s involvement in India’s bullet train project.

Since US President Donald Trump imposed a 50% tax on India, relations among the Quad’s member countries have been tense.
7. Reciprocal Investment Benefits:
According to US President Donald Trump, the US would keep 90% of the earnings, and the package was “our money to invest, as we like.” In contrast, Japanese authorities emphasized that the investment would be contingent on reciprocal advantages.
8. Economic & Investment Partnership:
In addition to strengthening cultural relations between the two countries, the summit is anticipated to concentrate on strengthening economic and investment partnerships.
9. 15th India-Japan Annual Summit:
PM Modi is going to attend the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit as part of the Japan Visit and also to strengthen the regional and global peace between the two countries.
10. PM Modi’s Visit to China:
Following his visit to Japan, PM Modi will go to China, where he will meet with Xi Jinping on August 31 and attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin.
