Amaravati Capital Works Relaunch: Nearly ten years after Amaravati foundation stone laying. Andhra Pradesh capital works shall be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 2, 2025. It is a red-letter day in the development progress of Andhra Pradesh with record-sized infrastructure megaprojects that will transform the state capital.
PM Modi is expected to land in Amaravati at 3:20 PM. And he will be accompanied by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance leaders. Re-launch will also consist of laying of foundations of ₹49,040 crore projects such as five towers of Amaravati Government Complex, High Court, and Legislative Assembly building.
Apart from Amaravati capital city projects, PM Modi will also dedicate and lay foundation stones for projects worth ₹57,962 crore across different sectors. These include the infrastructure projects of DRDO, DPIIT, NHAI, and Railways to boost connectivity and logistics.
Even the government overshot schedule time to get prepared before the event for lakhs of expected visitors. Ministers organized a walkathon on the venue covering the State Secretariat, organizing drinking water facility, arrangements for foodstuffs, and visitor vehicles across Andhra Pradesh.
Farmers of 29 villages whose aggregate land of 34,000 acres will have a stake in the capital will be directly linked to the program. Officials believe that success in Amaravati development would immensely help in the economic development of the local population.

The government will establish Amaravati in three years as envisaged in the master plan. 59 projects costing ₹37,702 crore have already been sanctioned by CRDA. Sanctions for tenders of ₹48,012 crore have been given to 73 projects. With PM Modi’s relaunch of Amaravati’s capital works. Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a transformative phase in infrastructure and governance. Amaravati Capital Works Relaunch will be a huge stepping stone to Andhra’s future.
