Today, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavvula Keshav has submitted the state government’s annual budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the assembly session. This financial year’s budget is outlayed around 2.94 lakh crores. The overall revenue expenditure is estimated to be up to 2,51,162 crores, and the capital expenditure is around 40,635 crores.
It is said that according to the “Super Six Garantees” which is promised only two of them are focused right now. However, the budget didn’t mention the free bus travel for women in RTC buses, even though the ministerial committee has promised, the allocation of budget hasn’t done yet. After submitting the budget, the minister said that Andhra Pradesh is facing a financial crisis right now. Even though this budget is planned under the supervision and inspiration of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, this is the only state in the country that is unable to secure loans.
Budget allocated for Financial Year 2025-26:
1. Thalliki Vandanam:
This is a revised scheme of the previous Amma Vodi Scheme. In this scheme, they have allotted almost Rs. 9,407 crores, where every mother will be receiving Rs. 15,000 per child in her bank account. This scheme is going to be implemented from May 2025.
2. Annadata sukhibhava:
This is a modified scheme that was previously named “YSR Rythu Bharosa”. For this scheme, farmers will be receiving 20,000 rupees every year. The government is going to provide 14,000 rupees in three installments, and the rest of 6000 rupees is going to be provided under the PM Kisan Scheme.
3. NTR Medical Assistance:
This is a revised previous scheme of “Arogya Sri”. Presently, the government has allocated 31,613 crores. This will reduce the burden on health expenditures and provide good healthcare facilities.
4. BC Welfare:
The government has allocated almost 23,260 rupees under this scheme. Which helps to improve the social, economic, and educational status of Backward Classes (BC) people.

5. Panchayat Raj and Rural Development:
The government has allocated 16,739 crores under this department for the development of the rural areas and the Panchayats all over Andhra Pradesh.
6. Healthcare sector:
Naidu’s Government has allotted 19,260 crores for the Health and family welfare department.
7. Water resources development:
TDP – Janasena government has allotted nearly 18,020 crores for this financial year.
8. Education Sector:
The government has allotted nearly 29,909 crores for the education sector for the financial year 2025-26.
