A minister from Madhya Pradesh has created a stir with his remarks against Indian Army officer Colonel Sophia Qureshi . The opposition and former army officers are expressing their anger over these remarks. The entire country has been discussing Colonel Qureshi, who was recently seen in several media conferences with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri during ” Operation Sindoor “. In this context, BJP leader and Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah made controversial remarks against the army officer in a public speech. The opposition parties have accused him of inciting social and religious hatred in a public meeting near Indore.
The Congress party strongly condemned these comments and demanded his immediate removal from the cabinet. As the controversy intensified, Minister Vijay Shah stepped down. He made statements apologizing for his comments. ” I have immense respect for my sister Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who served our country regardless of caste and religion. She is more than our own sister. I salute her services. If my words have hurt the society or religion, I am ready to apologize ten times,” he said.
However, his remarks on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor in his speech drew criticism. Speaking from a religious perspective, he said, “We sent our sister from their religion to teach them a lesson as a revenge against the terrorists.” Colonel Qureshi, along with Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, is playing a key role in media conferences on Operation Sindoor.
“We have taught a lesson to the terrorists who wiped out the vermilion of our sisters in the Pahalgam attack. We have destroyed the bases of the gunmen through their religious sisters. They attacked and fired on our Hindu brothers. Modiji sent their religious sisters in an army plane and attacked them in their homes. If they make our sisters widows. Modiji sent their religious sisters and taught them a lesson,” the minister said.
Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge reacted to these comments on social media. “The Madhya Pradesh BJP minister made the most outrageous and derogatory comments about our brave sister Colonel Sophia Qureshi. The Pahalgam terrorists wanted to divide the country. But during Operation Sindoor, the entire country stood united and gave them an answer. Modiji, that minister should be removed immediately,” Kharge demanded.
Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari shared this video. “This is evidence of the BJP’s greedy thinking and hateful political orientation,” he commented. The Congress described it as an attack on national unity, military honor and the honor of Indian women.
