Revanth Reddy Satires on KCR, BRS Boycotts
On the third day, the Telangana Assembly participated in the debate replying to the motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address. There was an intense argument between both parties while discussing the farmer loan waiver and Gruha Jyothi scheme. Later, CM Revanth Reddy questioned the leader of the opposition KCR to debate on Krishna River water allocation and his poor attendance in the assembly.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy took a dig at BRS head KCR in the Assembly that evoked laughs. He said that KTR and his party twisted my words. “What I said about the BRS party’s condition, they attributed it to KCR. I wish KCR a 100-year-long life. KCR must live for 100 years in opposition and I should remain here. KCR and Harish Rao got their eyes on KCR’s chair. What KCR has is an opposition seat, I want him to be there for 100 years”, Revanth Reddy added.
The ruling party countered all the claims from opposition party members. Ministers Sridhar Babu and Bhatti Vikramarka responded to all the questions and gave return counters to the BRS members. Later, BRS party MLAs walked out and claimed that this walkout was a protest for the comments of CM Recanth Reddy about KCR.
KCR said that they have immense respect for the Constitution of India and began the session with the Governor’s speech. Earlier, the BRS government used to dishonour a woman Governor from a backward class.
During his speech, Revanth Reddy said that BRS was interested in politics rather than public welfare. The BRS compromised on Telangana’s welfare and allocated Krishna River water inappropriately. Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that they have enough proof of these allegations.
