Chandrababu Naidu Expresses Gratitude: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has sent his best wishes and gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for the approval of the Badvel-Nellore Corridor project. The project, which will improve connectivity and economic development, will be a significant part of the infrastructure development of the state.
The Badvel-Nellore Corridor will be 109 km long, and its funding proposal is ₹3,653 crore. The corridor will be launched under the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Transfer (DBFOT) pattern, which will ensure efficiency and sustainability in its execution.
The corridor will have the following advantages:
Facilitating industrial connectivity by enhancing connectivity to economic centers of excellence.
Decreasing travel time to Krishnapatnam Port, reducing distance by 34 km for efficient trade logistics.
Job opportunity creation, with millions of direct and indirect jobs expected during development.
Naidu embraced the corridor clearance as Andhra Pradesh’s moment of history, emphasizing the manner in which enhanced connectivity and infrastructure will propel economic growth and create new opportunities for the youth. He reaffirmed his resolve towards ensuring effective implementation and long-term sustainability of the project.
Prime Minister Modi also prioritized the construction of new infrastructure for promoting regional growth. His administration has prioritized reinforcing road connections throughout India, and this recent move aligns with their initiatives to promote economic activity and improve transport efficiency.
