City Police Act Becomes a Roadblock for BRS Silver Jubilee Event

BRS Silver Jubilee Event: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is preparing for its silver jubilee celebrations. The party planned a massive public meeting with 10 lakh attendees. But the implementation of the City Police Act Section 30 in Warangal Commissionerate has raised concerns.

Permission Delayed for BRS Silver Jubilee Event

BRS leaders had earlier submitted a request to Kazipet ACP Thirumal for permission. But approval has not been granted yet. Meanwhile, Warangal Commissioner Sunpreet Singh has issued orders enforcing Section 30 of the City Police Act. This has created confusion among party members. There is uncertainty over whether the meeting will take place.

BRS was formed in 2001. As part of the April 27 Silver Jubilee celebrations, the party planned a grand meeting in Chintalapalli, Elkathurthi Mandal, Hanamkonda District. The party had already started arrangements on 1,213 acres of land. Leaders also signed agreements with local farmers to use their land for the event. The stage construction had already begun.

BRS leaders under district president Vinay Bhaskar had formally requested permission. Police officials had assured that a decision would be made after consulting higher authorities. The party was confident about getting approval. But recent police orders have now raised doubts. Section 30 bans public meetings, rallies, loudspeakers and DJs without prior police approval.

BRS leaders suspect that the Congress government is trying to block their event. They argue that denying permission is a political move to disrupt their gathering. The delay in approval has led to speculations about event cancellation.

With no permission yet, BRS leaders are seeking legal opinions. They are considering approaching the court if police continue to deny approval. With only 20 days left, the party is making all efforts to secure permission. The outcome of their efforts remains uncertain.
