Gulla Samaiah and Lakshmi of Rangayyapalli village in Bhimadevarapalli mandal of Hanumakonda district expressed their gratitude to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for offering medical aid to their son Gulla Rakesh. An Intermediate first-year student, Rakesh has been unable to walk due to Pseudo Muscular Dystrophy for a long time now.
Revanth Reddy was moved to see Rakesh’s story in the newspapers and assured necessary help. He immediately summoned officials to provide support in medical treatment for Rakesh. Following the orders, Vemula Srinivasulu, the Chief Minister’s OSD, met the family and assured the government’s full support. CM also instructed them to help Rakesh with a battery-charged vehicle for mobility.
Gulla Samaiah and Lakshmi, parents of Rakesh, said that the treatment for this peculiar disease is expensive, and it has become difficult for them to afford the medical costs. Recently, his condition became more severe. Doctors recommended expensive injections to improve his health. Because of their financial condition, they couldn’t afford medical treatment and sought help.
After knowing Rakesh’s story from the media, CM Revanth Reddy responded swiftly and ordered officials to help Rakesh. Samaiah and Lakshmi felt relieved after the government intervened to help their son. They could not contain their joy and thanked the CM.
Social Media responded positively to this kind gesture from CM Revanth Reddy. Users have applauded CM’s action and his commitment to helping people.
