CM Revanth Reddy Leads Telangana: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Cabinet members on Thursday paid sombre tributes to the victims of the recent terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Pahalgam. Two minutes of silence were held in a session held in the city of Hyderabad in memory of the victims who were brutally murdered in the terrorist attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians and injured dozens more. The move is an expression of the government’s aspiration to associate with the victimised community and individuals at these moments. Condemnation and Call for Action
When he arrived back in Hyderabad from his seven-day tour of Japan on Wednesday, CM Revanth Reddy strongly condemned the terror act. He called upon Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and AICC in-charge Meenkashi Natrajan to comment on the after-effects of the attack as well as tourists stuck in Kashmir.
In a gesture to the victims and as a gesture of solidarity against terrorism, Telangana state government held a candle march in the evening. The march started at People’s Plaza and concluded at the statue of Indira Gandhi opposite Hussain Sagar Lake, symbolizing communal mourning and people’s strength. CM Reddy pointed out coming together against such cruelty and providing people with security.
Telangana government shortly established helplines to aid the Telangana tourists trapped in Jammu & Kashmir during the attack. Helpline numbers 9440816071, 9010659333, and 040-23450368 were proclaimed to provide assistance and advice. Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao made sure of action as required to return the travelers safely.

The government also asked tourism operators to provide details of people who had visited Kashmir recently. One of the victims was Hyderabad-based Intelligence Bureau official Manish Ranjan, who had taken a family vacation to Baisaran Valley. CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the necessity of increased security and vigilance in an effort to avoid further incidents.
