Former MP Involved in TSIIC Land Grab in Puppalaguda

Former MP Involved in TSIIC Land Grab in Puppalaguda

TSIIC: Telangana, known for its fertile lands and abundant natural resources, now faces a serious issue of land misuse under the guise of development. While the government claims to acquire land for public welfare, including job creation and infrastructure projects, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Authorities have acquired land from underprivileged communities through the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), only to later convert these areas into high-end residential projects. Real estate mafias and influential industry players now control these developments.

Puppalaguda Land Scam  & Real Estate Mafias:
Despite clear government control over prohibited lands, illegal activities continue. According to media reports, in Puppalaguda village of Gandipet Mandal, survey numbers 277, 282, 342, and 341 fall under TSIIC jurisdiction. However, Western Windsor Park Constructions LLP has reportedly encroached on this land and begun constructing luxury apartments, which are now priced between ₹4–₹5 crore per unit (estimated figures).

Officials Involved in the Scam:

Sources allege that during the recent elections, parties struck a staggering ₹450 crore deal involving this land. This development raises serious concerns about the involvement of high-ranking officials and politicians. Media reports specifically identify a former Chevella MP, Ranjith Reddy, as one of the key figures overseeing the operation. Ongoing construction and property sales continue to generate massive revenue from this illegal project, even though the land belongs to the government.

Major Questions That Remain Unanswered
The most pressing question is, how did the concerned government departments issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for land that falls under TSIIC? Furthermore, how did the Advocate General approve construction when several writ petitions are already pending? Serious allegations have also emerged against Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Chandrakala, who allegedly accepted a ₹5 crore bribe to facilitate the issuance of the NOC for this illegal construction.
