Hyderabad to Built 80 Acre Japan Style Eco-Town: Find Out Where

Eco-Town: IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced that the state will build an eco-town on 80 acres, inspired by the Japanese city of Kitakyushu, as part of its focus on sustainable development. He explained that this initiative will follow the cooperation agreement signed between Telangana and Kitakyushu. The state government, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), organized a conference at T-Hub, where Minister Sridhar Babu attended as the chief guest and addressed the gathering.


IT Minister Statement:

Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu stated that the Telangana State Government will collaborate with the city of Kitakyushu on several upcoming projects, including digital innovations, riverside development, sustainable economic growth, clean technology, and achieving Net Zero targets. Kazuhisa Takeuchi, the Mayor of Kitakyushu, also participated in the event. The Minister added that the Telangana government aims to transform the upcoming Future City into a highly developed urban space by focusing on advanced NEET initiatives, efficient waste management systems, zero-waste architectural designs, and eco-friendly industrial zones.

He stated that the government’s objective is to equip Telangana’s youth with relevant skills. He also mentioned that the state plans to collaborate with the Japanese government to offer Japanese language training to young people. Additionally, he noted that the government is working to establish easier flight connectivity between Kitakyushu and Hyderabad. He emphasized that Kitakyushu’s development model aligns well with Telangana’s growth ambitions.

Telangana Rising 2047:

Highlighting Telangana’s favorable industrial climate, he encouraged Japanese investors to come forward and invest in the state. He explained that the Telangana government’s “Telangana Rising 2047” vision aims to build global partnerships and position the state as a leader across various sectors. He added that over the past year and a half, the government has worked diligently to attract nearly ₹3 lakh crore in investments. The event also saw participation from CII Telangana Chairman Sivaprasad Reddy, TGIIC MD Vishnuvardhan Reddy, CEO Madhusudhan, Secretary to the CM Ajith Reddy, Special Secretary to the Government Jayesh Ranjan, and Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao.
