IAS Transfers in AP: Government Restructures Top Administrative Posts

IAS Transfers in AP: The Andhra Pradesh government has taken up a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre. Several senior IAS officers were transferred and postings were given to five officers who were waiting for appointments. These decisions aim to improve governance and bring efficiency across departments.


IAS Transfers in AP:

RP Sisodia Transferred from Revenue Department

RP Sisodia, a senior and experienced IAS officer was serving as the Special Chief Secretary for Revenue and Land Administration. He has now been transferred and posted as the Special Chief Secretary for the Handlooms and Textiles Department. Sisodia has handled various key roles in the past and is expected to bring reforms in the handloom sector.


Jayalakshmi Gets Dual Responsibility

Senior IAS officer Y. Jayalakshmi, who is currently serving as the Special Chief Secretary for the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) has been given an additional charge. She will now also serve as the Special Chief Secretary for the Revenue Department, replacing RP Sisodia.

Katamneni Bhaskar Assigned New Role

Katamneni Bhaskar, presently the Secretary for Information Technology has been assigned additional duties. He will now also serve as the Director of the Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Institute (AP HRDI). Bhaskar is known for his innovative work in digital governance.

Postings for Five Waiting IAS Officers

The government has filled key vacancies by assigning roles to five IAS officers who were waiting for postings.

– Revu Mutyalaraju is now the Commissioner for the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department. He will oversee rural development schemes and local governance.

– K. Madhavi Latha has been appointed as the CEO of Andhra Pradesh Rythu Bazaar. She will supervise the functioning of farmer markets across the state.

– M. Gowthami becomes the Secretary of the AP Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (Gurukulam), focusing on tribal student education.

– Kothamasu Dinesh Kumar has been posted as the Director of the AYUSH Department, responsible for traditional medicine systems.

– K. Neela Kantha Reddy is appointed as the Managing Director of the AP AIDS Control Society.

These changes reflect the government’s intent to streamline administration and utilize officers’ experience effectively.
