India in danger from US tariffs Rahul Gandhi lashes out at PM Modi

India in danger from US tariffs: Congress leader and Opposition MP Rahul Gandhi raised serious concerns over new tariffs imposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump on Indian goods. Speaking at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting, he warned of a possible economic crisis in the country due to these new trade policies.

India in danger from US tariffs:
Rahul Gandhi criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for staying silent on this important issue. He said that PM Modi, who once shared a warm friendship with Trump, has now failed to protect India’s economic interests. Gandhi pointed out that instead of discussing trade relations, Trump chose to announce new tariffs on Indian products.

He recalled how Modi and Trump had earlier shared hugs and strong public ties. But now, he said, there is no sign of that friendship. “Where is the picture of their hug this time?” Rahul asked, mocking the current situation.

He further added that the Modi government is trying to distract people with drama and events, so they do not focus on the economic impact of Trump’s decisions. Gandhi accused PM Modi of remaining quiet for two days after the announcement of these tariffs.

Calling it a serious matter, Rahul Gandhi said that millions of Indians will be affected by the economic storm that may come due to these trade restrictions. He also questioned the leadership of Modi, asking where the PM was hiding when the country needed answers.

Apart from the tariffs issue, Rahul Gandhi also criticized the new Waqf (Amendment) Act. He claimed it was against the Constitution and an attack on religious freedom. He warned that this could affect the rights of other minority communities such as Christians and Sikhs in the future.

He also questioned PM Modi’s recent meeting with a Bangladeshi leader who had earlier made negative remarks about India. Gandhi asked why Modi was willing to sit with such people, once again pointing to what he called weak leadership.

Rahul Gandhi painted a picture of rising economic and social challenges. He blamed the Modi government for failing to act and protect the country’s interests both internationally and domestically.
