International Yoga Day 2025:
The 11th International Yoga Day will be celebrated in a grand manner in Visakhapatnam on June 21, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest at the event. The program is expected to attract nearly 2 lakh participants from various parts of the country.
To make the event a grand success, the Andhra Pradesh state government is working closely with the Ministry of AYUSH and leading yoga organizations. These include The Art of Living, Isha Foundation, Yoga Sports Association, and several universities. All these organizations will come together to support and organize this mega event.
On May 14, Chief Secretary Vijay Anand held a preliminary review meeting in Vijayawada with officials from different departments to discuss the preparations. The focus was on ensuring proper arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event and to manage the large crowd expected.
This year’s celebrations aim to highlight the importance of yoga in daily life and promote physical and mental well-being. Prime Minister Modi will attend the event, which will gain national and international attention.
People celebrate International Yoga Day every year on June 21. India proposed the idea, and the United Nations accepted it in 2015. The day encourages health, peace, and unity through yoga.
