Iran-Israel Tensions: As part of its intervention in the ongoing war between Israel and the Islamic Republic, the United States bombed three nuclear installations in Iran on Sunday, raising concerns about a potentially disastrous escalation of hostilities throughout the Middle East.
The US launched a “very successful attack” on the Iranian installations, according to President Donald Trump, who also threatened Tehran with “far greater” repercussions if it did not put a halt to its war with Israel.
Although the conflict’s future is yet unknown, the following 4 scenarios are what the world can anticipate:
Scenario 1:
In retaliation for the attacks on its three nuclear sites, Iran would undertake missile strikes against US bases nearby. According to Iranian official media, all American citizens and military personnel in the area are now targets. The New York Police Department claims that there is “an abundance of caution” behind the increased security at diplomatic, cultural, and religious locations in New York and Washington.
Scenario 2:
Israel might be on high alert and attack Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is the foundation of its military might, in advance. It has been determined “to shift all areas of the country from Partial and Limited Activity to Essential Activity,” including “a prohibition on educational activities, gatherings, and workplaces, except for essential sectors,” according to a statement released by the Israeli military, which was reported by international media.

Scenario 3:
Iran would incite Hezbollah and its allies to launch attacks on Israel from Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon. Tehran has created what it refers to as the “Axis of Resistance”: Hezbollah, the Houthis in Yemen, Shiite militias in Iraq, and Hamas in Gaza, to project power, fend off influence from the US and Israel, and shield itself from direct conflict. However, throughout the fighting, these associated groups have mostly stayed relatively quiet. Many are exhausted, split within themselves, and struggling with their weaknesses.
According to the media sources, Sheikh Naim Qassem, the leader of Hezbollah, has promised Iran “all forms of support” in its conflict with Israel and the United States, claiming that Iran’s nuclear program is benign and intended to benefit its people.
Scenario 4:
Despite urging moderation, China and Russia, two powerful nations on the world stage, covertly support Iran diplomatically. China accused Mr. Trump of “pouring oil” into the Israel-Iran dispute on Tuesday. According to official media, Chinese President Xi Jinping urged all sides, “especially Israel,” to “cease hostilities” a few days later. Russia had also cautioned the United States against “military intervention” in the conflict between Iran and Israel. A “Chernobyl-style catastrophe” might result from an Israeli strike on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, the president of Russia’s nuclear energy corporation said on Thursday.
