Maganti Gopinath death:
Senior BRS leader and Jubilee Hills MLA, Maganti Gopinath, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, June 8, 2025. He died while undergoing treatment at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad after suffering a heart attack on June 5. Doctors confirmed that he breathed his last at 5:45 AM despite continuous efforts to save him.
Former Chief Minister and BRS President K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) expressed deep sorrow over Maganti Gopinath’s death. KCR said that his passing is a huge loss to the party and remembered him as a kind, humble leader who rose step by step in politics through hard work.
KCR stated that Maganti was always accessible to people as the MLA of Jubilee Hills and had earned great respect as a senior politician in Hyderabad. He admired Maganti’s calm nature and his commitment to public service. Recalling his contributions, KCR mentioned that Maganti had carved out a unique place for himself in the political landscape of the city.
KCR expressed his grief, saying it was unfortunate that medical efforts and party support could not save Maganti. He conveyed his deepest condolences to the grieving family, friends, and followers. He also prayed for peace to the departed soul.
The news of Maganti’s death has left a void in Telangana politics, especially in the BRS party, where he was seen as a dedicated leader. His absence will be felt both by his constituents and colleagues.
His final rites are expected to be held with full respect. Leaders from across the political spectrum are expected to pay tribute to the late MLA.
