KCR: Former CM and BRS chief KCR attended the Kaleshwaram inquiry. KCR, who left Erravelli farmhouse at 10 am, reached BRK Bhavan where the inquiry is being held a while ago. The Justice PC Ghosh Commission inquiry will begin shortly. Former minister Harish Rao, MP Paediraju Ravichandra, MLAs Prashanth Reddy, Padmarao Goud, Bandari Lakshma Reddy, MLC Madhusudhanachari, ex-MLC Mahmood Ali, and BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar will attend the inquiry along with KCR.
The commission will cross-examine KCR on the shortcomings in the construction of the Kaleshwaram project. It is known that in March last year, the state government had set up this judicial inquiry commission with former Supreme Court judge Justice PC Ghosh in the wake of the subsidence of the Medigadda barrage and seepage problems at the Annaram and Sundilla barrages.
Since its formation, the commission has questioned the construction engineers of the barrages, officials of the quality control, operations and maintenance, Central Design Organization, irrigation, finance departments, and representatives of construction companies, collected affidavits from them and completed cross-examination. On the 6th of this month, the then Finance Minister Etala Rajender, and on the 9th, former Irrigation Minister Harish Rao also attended the commission’s inquiry. Recently, KCR also attended the inquiry. It has become interesting to see what answers KCR will give to the questions asked by the commission.
There is a high tension at BRK Bhavan. Senior leaders of the party have already reached there. Former ministers Mallareddy, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, several MLAs and MPs have reached BRK Bhavan. A large number of BRS activists are waiting there. Due to this, the police have tightened security. A force of about 500 policemen has been deployed. Restrictions have been imposed in the vicinity of BRK Bhavan.
