Minister Lokesh Criticizes Jagan on SSC Evaluation Issue

Lokesh vs Jagan SSC Paper Row:

Minister Nara Lokesh has strongly responded to the comments made by former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy regarding the SSC (10th class) evaluation system. Lokesh stated that the education system was damaged under Jagan’s leadership and now he is trying to fix it.

Lokesh vs Jagan SSC Paper Row:

Nara Lokesh reminded the public that Jagan had a history of controversies even from a young age, including the infamous incident where SSC exam papers were allegedly stolen. He questioned how someone like Jagan could now speak about values in education.

Lokesh criticized the previous government for bringing politics into schools, such as using party colors on uniforms and giving programs personal names. He also pointed out that during Jagan’s rule, students lost access to midday meals and free textbooks. Government school enrollment dropped by 12 lakh students due to poor policies like GO 117.

Further, Lokesh blamed Jagan’s administration for introducing the CBSE curriculum without proper preparation. This led to 90% of students failing exams. Lokesh said he postponed the implementation of CBSE to safeguard students’ futures.

He also questioned the claim that the previous government introduced the IB (International Baccalaureate) syllabus. He clarified that only a report costing ₹5 crore was prepared, but no real implementation took place. Despite lacking trained teachers, the government even claimed to introduce TOEFL education.

On financial matters, Lokesh said that the Jagan-led government failed to clear ₹4,500 crore in fee reimbursement and ₹1,000 crore in dues for eggs and snacks. He also revealed that bribes were taken during teacher transfers.

Regarding recent revaluation results, Lokesh said there was only a 0.25% error in 2025’s answer sheet corrections, while under Jagan’s rule, the differences were 20% in 2022, 18% in 2023, and 17% in 2024. He assured that those responsible were punished.

Lokesh concluded by saying his government is working hard to bring the education system back on track and ensure fair teacher transfers without political interference.
