Miss World Event :Telangana is hosting the Miss World event for the first time. Minister for Tourism and Culture Jupally Krishna Rao said, “Hosting Miss World in Telangana is a moment of pride. It will help promote tourism and showcase our culture to the world.”
He explained that Telangana made world-class arrangements for the event. At a press meet, he shared the stage with CEO of Miss World Julia Morley, actor Sonu Sood, Miss India Nandini Gupta and other key officials.
Jupally said, “Miss World is not just a beauty contest. It supports empowerment, diversity, and global unity.” He thanked CM Revanth Reddy for making Telangana the selected host among strong competitors.
Miss World CEO Julia Morley added, “Every country will send their representative, but Telangana will be the focus.” She appreciated the warm welcome from the state and said, “The world will learn from India through this event. This year’s theme is tourism.”
Actor Sonu Sood said, “It feels great to share the stage with the organizers of the event I grew up watching. I am also working on breast cancer awareness.”
Miss India Nandini Gupta greeted the public in Telugu. “Namaskaram! I am your Nandini Gupta. Telangana holds a special place in my heart,” she said. She praised Hyderabad for its culture and modern charm.
Tourism Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said, “Though India has many beautiful places, foreigners know only a few. Through Miss World, we will promote Telangana’s hidden gems.” He added, “Anyone can attend the event. It’s not limited to celebrities.”
The government is preparing all tourism spots for the guests. Streets around Charminar are being cleaned and decorated with lights. Police are implementing strong security, including Section 163.
At Shamshabad Airport, Jupally inspected arrangements. He said, “The airport must reflect Telangana culture. Greet guests with traditional flowers and decor.” He urged officials to avoid delay and ensure top-level welcome.
More than 70 contestants will arrive from across the globe. The government, along with central security agencies, is closely monitoring the event to ensure safety.
