Myanmar Earthquake: India has sent 80 NDRF team for the rescue operations and establishing a feild hospital in Myanmar. According to the sources, the team is going to build feild hospital with 118 members. The team is going to leave by the end of the day.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “Soon after the tragedy struck Myanmar, our PM conveyed his concerns and expressed that India was ready to provide all possible support to the people and government of Myanmar in this hour of crisis. Today, PM spoke to Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and conveyed deepest condolences on behalf of the people and government of India for the loss of precious lives and that we would do our best to provide relief, rescues and whatever assistance required to deal with this calamity.”
In the Conclusion he said, “In the early hours of today, we launched Operation Brahma. Brahma is a God of creation. At a time when we are extending a helping hand to the people of Myanmar for rebuilding their country, this particular name of the operation has a special resonance. The first aircraft carrying 15 tonnes of relief materials took off at around 3 am this morning from Hindon Air Force base.”

The first consignment has been already handovered to the Myanmar officals. Jaiswal said, “Operation Brahma: hands over the relief material to Myanmar. The first consignment of relief material was formally handed over to Chief Minister of Yangon U Soe Thein by Ambassador Abhay Thakur in Yangon today.”
