New Telangana Ministers: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expanded his Cabinet by finalizing the second round of ministerial appointments. He confirmed Maktal MLA Vakiti Srihari, a prominent leader from the Backward Classes (BC) community, securing a spot that many had anticipated for weeks.
Additionally, CM Reddy appointed Chennur MLA Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy and Dharmapuri MLA Adluri Laxman. Both represent the Scheduled Castes (SC) community. These latest appointments aim to balance caste representation. They also seek to strengthen the Congress-led administration in Telangana.
New Telangana Ministers Oath in Raj Bhavan:
Governor Jishnu Dev Verma administered the oath of office to the newly inducted ministers at Raj Bhavan on Sunday. This marked the expansion of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s Cabinet. Senior Congress leaders, sitting ministers, MLAs, government advisors, and CM Revanth Reddy attended the ceremony.
Soon after the swearing-in, officials appointed Ramachandrunayak as the new Deputy Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud congratulated the new ministers. They expressed confidence in their ability to strengthen governance in the state. Speaking to reporters after taking oath, newly inducted minister Adluri Laxman Kumar pledged to work tirelessly for the state’s development.
Vakiti Srihari’s Political Journey:
Minister Vakiti Srihari reflected on his political journey on Sunday. He recalled his early days as a grassroots Congress worker with the NSUI. Speaking to the media, he credited the Congress leadership at both the state and national levels for addressing the long-standing demand for Scheduled Caste (SC) reclassification.
Srihari pointed out that, according to 2011 population data, the Madiga community numbers around 32 lakh. He said, “We presented our rightful demand to the leadership, and justice was delivered.” He cited Rahul Gandhi’s commitment to ensuring rights are distributed proportionally based on population. Furthermore, he added, “To earn such respect, one must seize the opportunities provided by the leadership and work with dedication.”

New Ministerial Appointments:
The Congress party has entered a new phase of appeasement after recent ministerial appointments. Former minister and MLA Sudarshan Reddy openly expressed his disappointment at being excluded from the cabinet. He felt let down by the party’s decision, as he had anticipated a ministerial role.
In response, AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan visited Sudarshan Reddy’s residence to address his concerns. CM advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Minister Ponnam, and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud also met him to ease tensions within the party. Meanwhile, party leaders are trying to engage with MLAs Premsagar Rao and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy to manage further internal grievances.
Malreddy Ranga Reddy Angry on Cabinet Selections:
Malreddy Ranga Reddy has expressed fury over his exclusion from the ministerial team. He sent letters to Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, complaining about the appointment decision. Moreover, Ranga Reddy plans to hold a press conference this evening to address the issue publicly.
