On Thursday, the Central government disclosed the expenses spent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 38 foreign trip visits between May 2022 and December 2024. The highest expenditure for a single visit was when PM Modi’s trip to United States in June 2023 which is around Rs. 22 Crores.
The complete report is shared by the Ministry of State for External Affairs. This report was presented after a query raised by the leader of the opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, who asked for the total expenditure and detailed information about the hotel arrangements, transport, and other miscellaneous expenses.
In the report given by the ministry, the trip to US in June 2023 costed Rs. 22,89,68,509 while in the September 2024 Visit to US it costed whopping Rs. 15,33,76,348. Other most expensive trips was when PM Modi visit to Japan in May 2023, it costed around Rs. 17,19,33,356.
The less expensive trip of his was when he visited Nepal in May 2022. It cost around 80,01,483.
More than 30 countries are there in the list where PM Modi visited between 2022 and 2024. In this list Germany, Kuwait, Denmark, France, UAE, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Australia, Egypt, South Africa, Greece, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Brazil and Guyana. The total cost of all the 38 countries from May 2022 and December 2024 is nearly around 258 crores.
