PM Modi Begins Two-Day Gujarat Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day tour of Gujarat on May 26, 2025. On a vibrant and energetic roadshow in Vadodara. The tour is part of a bigger agenda to inaugurate key development programs and mark twenty years of urban rejuvenation in the state.
Upon arrival at Vadodara Airport around 10 AM, PM Modi was greeted warmly by thousands of followers who lined the route to the Air Force station. The 1-kilometer roadshow involved patriotic fervor, complete with party workers brandishing national flags and showering flower petals in excitement. Especially due to India’s recent victory in Operation Sindoor.
The Prime Minister will be inaugurating and laying foundation stones for infrastructure projects with a total value of ₹82,950 crore on his visit. The major points of the announcements are:
Dahod High-Power Locomotive Plant. A dedicated plant for the production of 9000-horsepower electric locomotives to cater to domestic consumption as well as global markets.
Urban Development Year 2025. A renewed focus on Gujarat’s urbanization and modernization plans, celebrating the state’s consistent rate of city growth and infrastructure development.
Green Energy Projects in Bhuj. Launching new green energy projects aimed at enhancing Gujarat’s status in establishing sustainable and clean power.
PM Modi will address public rallies in major towns like Dahod, Bhuj, and Gandhinagar during his visit. Outlining the development of the state and its vision for the future. A tour highlight will be the flagging off of a new Vande Bharat Express connecting Veraval and Ahmedabad, boosting local rail connectivity.
