NITI Aayog Meet: Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, was the target of a new attack by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The prime minister charged that the Banerjee-led TMC administration was “playing politics” and ignoring the state’s development during his state visit on Thursday.
PM Modi’s Warning to TMC:
The Prime Minister warned the TMC leader for failing to attend the NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi. In a public meeting, PM Modi said, “All the TMC wants to do is play politics day and night. They do not prioritize the growth of West Bengal or the advancement of the nation. The TMC is not implementing Central Government policies in West Bengal.” The Prime Minister further pointed out that the TMC government has put 16 major infrastructure projects in the state, which were supposed to be completed last year, on hold.
PM Modi’s Reaction Towards TMC Principles:
The Prime Minister stated that the TMC government is hostile toward the state’s backward classes, women, Dalits, tribal people, and the impoverished. Modi added, “The TMC government is hindering the growth of underprivileged tribal groups. The TMC shows no respect for the tribal community. In fact, TMC was the first party to oppose the NDA government’s nomination of a tribal woman for president for the first time.”
Take a look at the video:
In the conclusion, he added, “Why does TMC harbor animosity for women, tribal people, the poor, Dalits, and the backward classes?… Regretfully, West Bengal residents are not benefiting from the Ayushman program. West Bengalis were denied Ayushman cards by the brutal administration. Due to the TMC government’s officials’ demands for commissions and cutbacks from the poor, many impoverished people are unable to obtain permanent housing.”
