PM Modi: Today at 8.00 PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give the country’s first speech since the ceasefire that was declared following four days of fighting with Pakistan after Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor:
After the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people, including one Nepali national, Operation Sindoor was started. India-Pakistan tensions have increased since the start of Operation Sindoor. However, after US President Donald Trump mediated, the two neighbors agreed to a ceasefire.
Along with the Chief of Defence Staff and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, the Prime Minister has been meeting with the leaders of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force regularly since the start of Operation Sindoor. Among others, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are attending the sessions. India has insisted that Operation Sindoor was not directed against the Pakistani military, but only against terrorists. According to the Indian Air Force, the operation is still going on.
