Adampur Air Base: Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unexpected visit to Adampur Air Base in Punjab early on Tuesday morning to meet with air force members who were instrumental in maintaining air defense during Operation Sindoor. Adampur Air Base is located 25 kilometers from Jalandhar.

“Earlier this morning, I went to Air Force Station (AFS) Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers,” PM Modi wrote later in a post on X. It was an extremely unique experience to be with people who embody bravery, tenacity, and fearlessness. India will always be appreciative of the military’s contributions to the country.

According to a senior official, PM Modi arrived at Adampur airport at 6.15 a.m. and spent around fifty minutes at the air base, interacting with senior military leaders and air force personnel to get input and information regarding Operation Sindoor. Confidential Visit:

Following Indian strikes on terror installations in the neighboring country on May as part of Operation Sindoor, Adampur Air Base was crucial in maintaining air defense during the fierce confrontation with Pakistan. On May 10, India and Pakistan decided to halt their military operations.

However, India clarified that it has only paused its operations and will decide its next move based on Pakistan’s actions. Officials stated that the sole purpose of the operation is to boost the morale of the armed forces, who responded strongly to the Pakistani drone attack. IAF commanders briefed Prime Minister Modi on the ongoing operation, including its logistics and preparations. According to official sources, PM Modi made this surprise visit without informing even the district’s civil and police administration.
