Europe and other countries talked about finalizing plans for an international peacekeeping force for Ukraine at a military headquarters on the outskirts of London.


British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the coalition plan led by Britain and France is moving forward. However, it is not yet clear how many countries are ready to send troops. Officials have given figures between 10,000 and 30,000 soldiers.

Russia-Ukraine War:

Britain and France have said they are ready to send troops. While many countries, including Australia, Canada, France, and Finland, say they are ready to help Ukraine in some way or the other. About 30 leaders, including Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, leaders of Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, and NATO and EU officials, attended a video meeting on Saturday.

On this, Russia has said that it will not accept any troops from NATO countries on Ukrainian soil. Trump has given no indication that the US will guarantee reserve firepower in case of violation of the ceasefire agreement. Starmer says that this plan will not work without America.

Trump has agreed:

US President Donald Trump has agreed in principle to a limited ceasefire after talks with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine. However, it is not yet decided when it can come into effect and on whom attacks will be banned. Amidst the ceasefire talks, both countries carried out hundreds of drone attacks on each other overnight. Many people were injured and buildings were damaged in this. Ukraine said Russia launched 171 long-range drones and that it shot down 75 while 63 other drones disappeared from radar. Russia said it destroyed 132 Ukrainian drones in six Russian regions and Crimea.
