EAM Jaishankar stated that India has “continually maintained a firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism” in the wake of the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. On X, formerly Twitter, Jaishankar said, “India and Pakistan have worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action today.” The EAM’s remarks follow a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, which was reached about two days after tensions between the two neighbors escalated.

India Vs Pakistan Ceasefire Deal:
After Pakistan launched an attack on India on Friday night using missiles and between 300 and 400 Turkish-made drones, the tension between India and Pakistan intensified.
As the Indian army put it, “Pakistan’s blatant escalation” prompted India to launch missiles and drones at four airbases in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Saturday, according to sources cited by ANI. At 5 a.m. today, the Indian Army reported seeing several armed drones from Pakistan flying over Khasa Cantt, Amritsar. The Indian Air Defence System destroyed the drones after interacting with them.
