The allocation of 21.16 acres of land to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Visakhapatnam for a symbolic lease charge of 99 paise was approved by the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet.
To establish an IT campus that is anticipated to create 12,000 jobs, the IT major intends to invest ₹1,370 in the proposed land, IT Hill Number 3.
According to the official media statement, “Cabinet approved the allocation of 21.16 acres of land to TCS at Visakhapatnam IT Hill Number 3 for setting up an IT campus to generate 12,000 jobs.” This comes after IT Minister Nara Lokesh urged the carmaker to invest in the state during a visit to Tata headquarters in Mumbai in October 2024.

Furthermore, Mahamaya Industries Limited’s request to expand its steel facility in Vizianagaram was approved by the Cabinet. It gave ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation) 6.35 acres in the Guntur district’s Nadimpalem in Pattipadumandal. This land will be donated for free or at a reduced cost in order to build a hospital with 100 beds and staff housing.

The Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple was given around 30 acres of land at IS Raghavapuram in the Dwaraka Tirumala mandal of Eluru district without charge. The APIIC (Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation) has been granted 87.56 acres in Krishnapatnam village and 220.81 acres in Nelaturu village in Muthukur mandal in Nellore district as part of an accepted proposal to create industrial parks.
