AP Nominated Appointments: The Andhra Pradesh government has completed the appointment of nominated posts across the state. 705 positions in 47 market committees are filled. Most of these posts went to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which received 37 chairperson positions.The Jana Sena Party got 8 posts, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 2 positions.
This decision is part of the government’s effort to strengthen leadership at the local level. More appointments are expected soon. Meanwhile government finalizes the remaining market committee positions.
Earlier Appointments
This is not the first time the Andhra Pradesh government has made such appointments. In the first list released six months ago, 20 chairpersons were appointed. Among them, 16 were from TDP. 3 are from Jana Sena and 1 from BJP.
Later on, another list was announced. It is with more than 50 new appointments. Some key figures such as Mohammad Sharif (State Minority Affairs Advisor) and Chaganti Koteswara Rao (State Ethical Values Advisor). They were given cabinet rank status.
Government’s Decision
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had earlier directed officials to complete all nominated appointments by the end of March 2025. This move ensures that important administrative positions are filled for better governance.

– Bobbili – Narusupalli Venkata Naidu
– Kurupam – Kadaraaka Kalavathi
– Narsipatnam – Ruttala Sheshukumar
– Palasa – Malla Srinivasa Rao
– Rampachodavaram – Lotha Lakshmana Rao
– Salur – Mukhi Suryanarayana
– Visakhapatnam West – Yelamanchili Aparna
These appointments reflect the government’s efforts to balance power among coalition partners and ensure smooth administration across the state.
The new chairpersons will play a key role in market committee operations that help to manage and develop local markets efficiently. This will also strengthen the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
