Telangana Formation Day 2025:
June 2 marks Telangana Formation Day, a proud day for the people of Telangana. On this day in 2014, Telangana became a separate state in India. Every year, the government of Telangana celebrates this day with great enthusiasm across the state.
In 2025, the state is stepping into its 12th year, and preparations for the celebrations are happening across all districts, especially in Warangal. Several ministers will attend events and hoist the national flag as part of the celebrations.
In Hanumakonda, Minister Konda Surekha will be present at the event.Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy will hoist the flag in Warangal city,. In Mulugu, Minister Seethakka will attend the function. Likewise, in Mahabubabad, government whip Ramchandra Naik will lead the celebration. In Bhupalpally, Forest Development Committee Chairman Podem Veerayya will participate. In Jangaon, another government whip Beerla Ilaiah will hoist the flag.
Government officials have made special arrangements for these events. These celebrations not only honor the state’s formation but also showcase Telangana’s culture, spirit, and growth over the years.
However, tension is reported in Palakurthi, Jangaon district. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy is scheduled to unveil a statue of Telangana Talli (Mother Telangana) on the same day. Members of the BRS party have objected to this, demanding that the old design of the statue be used instead of a new one. As a result, there is a conflict between BRS and Congress party workers in the area.
To avoid any unwanted incidents, police forces have been deployed in large numbers. Authorities are making sure that the celebrations go peacefully.
Despite political issues, Telangana Formation Day remains a symbol of unity and progress. People from all regions, especially in Warangal, are preparing to celebrate this proud moment of their state’s journey.
