US Bombers: Media sources, citing an anonymous US official, reported that B-2 Spirit bombers flew nonstop for approximately 37 hours from Missouri to carry out what President Donald Trump called a “very successful attack” on Iran’s nuclear facility early Sunday.
The US military deployed stealth bombers to strike three major Iranian nuclear sites, Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, after refueling multiple times mid-air. Trump announced, “Fordow is gone,” referring to the heavily fortified underground complex once considered Tehran’s most secure nuclear site.
US B-2 Spirit bombers Success:
He described the mission as an “amazing success.” He warned Iran to “make peace immediately or they’ll get hit again.” The U.S. carried out its most direct military action against Iran in years. It used a combination of Tomahawk missiles and bunker-buster bombs. Trump stated that U.S. forces launched around 30 Tomahawk missiles at various nuclear facilities. They also dropped six bunker-buster bombs on the Fordow site.
Tensions between Israel and Iran escalated over the past week. Hostility intensified in recent days. The Pentagon confirmed that B-2 stealth bombers participated in the operation. On Saturday, the United States moved its B-2 bombers to Guam, a strategic island in the Pacific. These aircraft can deploy the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator. The bomb is designed to destroy deeply buried targets like Fordow. An Iranian official, quoted by the Tasnim news agency, confirmed that “enemy airstrikes” had damaged part of the Fordow nuclear site.

Trump Message After Attack:
The US launched the attack after Israel carried out a series of strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in recent days. Israel had previously conducted covert operations successfully. However, experts believed it lacked the firepower to penetrate Fordow’s heavily fortified defenses. Trump escalated the conflict by choosing to intervene directly. He wrote on Truth Social, “All US planes are safely on their way home.” He also praised “our great American Warriors.” Trump plans to deliver a nationally televised speech from the Oval Office later today.
The Israeli government confirmed its close coordination with Washington. After the strikes, Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel had launched preemptive strikes, claiming Tehran was only weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon. Iran reported more than 3,500 injuries and over 400 deaths from the attacks. In retaliation, missile strikes in Israel killed at least 14 people and injured more than 1,200 others. This marked the most intense escalation between the two nations in recent memory.
