Akkineni Nagarjuna Praises Rashmika Mandanna Record-Breaking Success.
At the Mumbai launch of the song Pippi Pippi Dum Dum Dum, Nagarjuna praised Rashmika’s rise in her career. He noted that none of the actors, including himself, had films that made ₹2000–3000 crore, but Rashmika had more than one film.
Even with the recognition of being one of the top actresses in South Indian cinema, Rashmika shied away from it and stated that she would like to believe that she has gained this notoriety because of the audience’s love and support. She showed many thanks but also said that she can never see herself in a competition, since she is still working in properties across Bollywood and South Indian films.
Nagarjuna praised Rashmika’s spontaneity and comedy timing in Kuberaa, adding that her performance will resonate with audiences. He remembered calling her right after witnessing the dubbing of the film, acknowledging how impressed he was with her portrayal.
Rashmika’s record-breaking box office collections around the country and her natural ability to pivot from regional films to Bollywood easily has firmly positioned her as one of the leading actresses of our time. Moreover, her success says a lot about the shifting power dynamics of South Indian cinema on the national stage.
